We have just completed an unforgettable 7-day trek on the Khopra Ridge, organized by Base Camp Hike, and we can only give our very best recommendations!
From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. Mr. Jayaram handled the booking and planning with great precision and clear communication, and the trek fully lived up to everything he promised.
Base Camp Hike is a locally based company, and we could really feel Jayaram’s genuine dedication to running his business in a professional and responsible way. It’s clear that he truly cares about providing excellent service and supporting his community. We strongly encourage other travelers to support local operators like Base Camp Hike, as this makes a real difference for the local people and their livelihoods.
Our guide Lama was absolutely outstanding – professional, empathetic, and incredibly service-minded. He shared his knowledge generously and gave us valuable advice that helped us manage the many meters of elevation we climbed each day. He created a safe, inspiring, and joyful atmosphere throughout the trek.
Our porter Sabin also deserves special praise – full of energy, always smiling, and extremely helpful.
They both made a big difference for us along the way, and we shared lots of laughter and fun moments together.
We are both interested in birdwatching, and both Lama and Sabin quickly caught the bug! Together we had some fantastic bird sightings, including several species of vultures and birds of prey that we’ll remember for a long time.
All in all, it was a perfect mix of nature, learning, laughter, and companionship.
