Puerto Seco Beach的点评
点评：We visited Puerto Seco Beach in Jamaica as an excursion booked through Disney Cruise Line, and unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing excursion experiences we have ever had.
The biggest issue was the cleanliness of the beach and water. Almost immediately after arriving, I saw a used condom on the beach that still appeared to contain bodily fluid. As a mother traveling with five children, I was absolutely horrified.
Unfortunately, that was not an isolated piece of trash. The beach and shoreline were littered with garbage—paper plates, plastic utensils, bottles, Red Bull cans, metal bottle caps, hair ties, and countless other small and large pieces of debris. My children were literally swimming in water where garbage was being pulled out around them.
There were workers actively trying to clean it up, which honestly showed just how significant the problem was. At one point, we watched a woman in the water with a large floating garbage bag while another person wearing snorkel gear helped retrieve trash from the ocean. Large bags of collected garbage were then sitting near the cabana area.
We also paid an additional $200 for a cabana, and that experience was extremely disappointing. The description made us believe we were getting something much more private and upscale, including what we understood to be a private restroom. There was no private restroom. The cabana itself was essentially a covered structure with built-in seating and a basic Igloo-style cooler.
We were also supposed to receive six beers, six waters, and six sodas with our cabana. We received only two sodas, which was especially frustrating considering we were traveling with five children.
To make matters even more uncomfortable, some of the people cleaning the garbage around us repeatedly asked us for money and asked us to give them beer and water from our cooler. I understand and respect that people are working hard, but as paying guests who had already spent $200 for the cabana on top of the cost of the excursion, being solicited while trying to enjoy the beach made the experience very uncomfortable.
Our waitress was pleasant and the food service itself was fine, although we found the food to be mediocre.
The overwhelming issue, however, was the condition of the beach. There is simply no excuse for guests—especially children—to be swimming among garbage or for a family to encounter a used condom on a beach being sold as a cruise-line excursion.
We booked this through Disney Cruise Line, and because of that, we expected the excursion location to meet a certain standard of cleanliness and guest experience. Puerto Seco did not come close to meeting that expectation during our visit.
I sincerely hope Disney reevaluates this excursion and that Puerto Seco takes immediate steps to address the cleanliness and sanitation of both the beach and the water. Based on our experience, I could not recommend this excursion to other families.
