点评：Playa Dorada is the biggest beach on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. The beach is huge stretching over 4 miles of coastline in the city of Puerto Plata. The beach is public, as all beaches in the Dominican Republic. However. in some parts of the beach there are resorts and hotels. You can come to the beach wherever there is public access, or you can access the beach through one of the hotels along the beach.
I have been to many sections of the beach and at different times of the year. The beach tends to be clearer in the summer months and less clear, with debris and algae during the winter months. The water quality seems to be impacted by the rain. In this part of the Dominican Republic December-February is extremely rainy and the May-August are dry.
There are vendors along the beach that will sell you anything from cigars to clothing. Vendors are more prevalent in the public access areas.
