Muddy walk!
Grand Etang Lake的点评
点评：We did this visit as the single thing for the day as I'm more interested in the rain forest than posing in the car park with tamed monkeys. Decided on the lakeside trail and we had all come prepared for mud, which was fortunate.
If there were guides we didn't see any but we didn't want one anyway - it's only a 45 minute trail after all. If there had been a guide I suspect they would have said 'you must be mad, the trail is largely impassable and has not been maintained properly for about 5 years or more' but there wasn't a guide so off we set!
Our taxi was booked to pick us back up at 2.30 and we set off just before midday. About half way round I realised we were in too deep, turning back would be longer than pushing on (hopefully!) and was reminded of stories of silly tourists getting lost in trails, never to be seen again.
Talking of which, you can't see the lake from the trail save for a couple of spots - the forest is too dense! It's muddy, up and down, full of wildlife - hummingbirds, lizards etc - and very much nice if that's your thing.
Most of the visitor attractions were closed (you find this out after you have paid ofc) but the 45 minute 4km trail took us over 2 hours in the end so the little bar and a couple of beers was just the ticket in the end.
The locals there seemed mildly entertained that we'd even bothered to do the trail at all!
Good fun but end of the day it's a 20 min stop on an all day tour of the island for most visitors. If that's what you're after, perfect - otherwise if you don't want a muddy rain forest 'walk' this is not for you!

说到这个……从步道上几乎看不到湖面，只有少数几处能瞥见——树林实在是太茂密了！路面泥泞不堪，地形起伏不定，到处都是野生动物——蜂鸟、蜥蜴等等。如果你喜欢这类环境的话，这里绝对是个好去处。
大部分游览景点都关闭了（当然，你付了钱之后才会发现这一点）。这条4公里长、预计需45分钟走完的步道，我们最后花了两个多小时才走完。所以，最后来小酒吧喝上几杯啤酒真是再合适不过了。那里的当地人似乎觉得我们居然费心去走这条徒步路线挺有趣的呢！
虽然挺好玩的，但对大多数游客来说，这不过是全天环岛游中一个仅停留20分钟的景点罢了。如果你就是冲着这个来的，那再好不过；但要是你不想经历一次泥泞不堪的雨林“徒步”，那这里就不适合你了！
