25 Years Later… Rick’s Cafe Is Still a Negril Must-Do

点评：If you’re in Negril, going to Rick's Cafe for sunset is basically a rite of passage. My husband and I grabbed a taxi from our hotel and headed over for one of the most iconic sunsets in Jamaica — and it absolutely delivered.
This was actually my first time back in 25 YEARS. Yes… I’m old enough to say “back in my day” about Rick’s . I cliff jumped there back then (when I apparently had zero fear), but this trip we happily watched the brave souls launch themselves off the cliffs while we enjoyed the view with a cold Red Stripe in hand.
A little insider tip: get there early enough to walk around and scope out the different viewing spots before sunset. Once the cliff divers start showing off and the sun starts dropping, it gets busy fast. Find your perfect perch, grab a drink, and enjoy the show.
The jerk chicken was delicious, the vibe was energetic, and while I did miss the authentic live reggae band they had years ago, the DJ and dancers still made it a really fun atmosphere. It definitely felt more high-energy party vibe than laid-back reggae lounge this time around.
Also — bring your swimsuit! Even if you don’t plan to cliff jump, they do have a pool and plenty of people were cooling off with a drink in hand.
Later in our trip we did a catamaran cruise, and the boat came right up near Rick’s at sunset. Seeing the cliff divers from the water and getting that famous view of Rick’s from the ocean was SUCH a fun perspective.
Bottom line: touristy? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. FUN? 1000%.

牙买加烤鸡美味极了，气氛也十分热闹。虽然我很怀念几年前他们家的正宗雷鬼乐队，但DJ和舞者们依然营造了非常欢乐的氛围。这次来，感觉更像是活力四射的派对，而不是悠闲的雷鬼酒廊。
对了——记得带泳衣！即使你不打算跳崖，他们也有游泳池，很多人都在那里一边喝着饮料一边消暑。
之后，我们参加了一次双体船巡游，日落时分，船正好驶近Rick's酒吧。从水上观看跳崖表演，以及从海上欣赏Rick's酒吧的标志性景色，真是个绝妙的视角。
总而言之：游客多吗？是的。值得吗？绝对值得。好玩吗？1000%！
