Adventure Kokoda的点评
点评：From pre-trek briefings to the final celebrations, Adventure Kokoda hit the mark for an incredible 9 day adventure.
I was a little apprehensive as to how I would cope with the physical demands but this quickly disappeared the moment I arrived in PNG and met the Adventure Kokoda crew. Their expertise and camaraderie made me feel confident and well supported.
It was obvious Adventure Kokoda values their people as they limit the weight of personal carriers' bags to a max of 18kgs. I passed many carriers from other companies burdened by the excessive weight of oversized bags which was heartbreaking.
Our trek leader Peter Morrison was (and still is!) a legend - humbly understated, totally genuine, and with amazing speakership. His portrayal of the Kokoda campaign through evocative storytelling, anecdotal and historical evidence, as well as poignant poetry was outstanding. Adventure Kokoda provided nutritious food for every meal. We even enjoyed fresh chicken cooked via the traditional PNG method (Mumu - underground with stones). Adventure Kokoda expertly balanced having access to modern comforts (toilets, hot/cold showers etc) with authentic cultural immersions in schools and villages which made for an unique experience. We were encouraged to bring school equipment/resources to donate to the schools in the villages - this was really special and was a clear indication that Adventure Kokoda truly values and cares for the people of PNG.
Would recommend Adventure Kokoda to anyone seeking to complete the Kokoda Trail with a company that prioritises safety and wellbeing, employs expert and credible trek leaders and PNG guides/carriers, and values the needs and experiences of individual trekkers.
