Fabulous afternoon activity - well worth a visit
Tamworth Castle的点评
点评：Had a really good afternoon at the Castle and connected playground. Rolled up just after lunch, bought a ticket and went straight in. We were directed round the rooms (there’s a one way System) by knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Really liked seeing the parts of the Staffordshire Hoard and hearing about the types of gold and how the detailed (and tiny) designs were made.
The layout of the Castle is well thought through, and there‘s a mix of written information, interactive computer exhibits, and manual/hands on parts that the kids loved. Some games along the way too - we played the magnetic snakes and ladders on the wall, plus the nine men’s morris. Oh, and dressing up too!
When we’d exhausted the castle, which took a while, we wandered over to the playground- which is one of the best I’ve seen for a while for a mixed age range. It’s got lots of different apparatus, sized from toddlers to teens.
