点评:We visited Geysir as part of a Golden Circle day trip in February 2026, and it was definitely a highlight of the journey.
It’s about an hour’s drive from Reykjavík, and while the temperature itself wasn’t extreme, the wind really cuts through you when you’re standing around waiting for an eruption. The main geyser erupts every few minutes, but if you’re hoping to catch a really big one, you might find yourself waiting 15–20 minutes. Not every eruption is equally impressive, so a bit of patience pays off. We stayed for just over an hour and saw a huge eruption during the time.
One thing I’d strongly recommend is coming well prepared for the cold. Layers are essential, and gloves are a must, ideally ones that let you use your phone. I made the mistake of taking mine off to record and take photos, and my fingers were freezing within minutes. If you’re keen on getting good shots, bringing a tripod or gimbal is also a great idea.
There’s a visitor centre just across the road with food, toilets, and a gift shop, which is very convenient.
Overall, it’s absolutely worth visiting and a must-see stop on the Golden Circle route.
