点评:Beautiful view from the north part of the island particularly looking south 372 m high. All the other pointers given in previous reviews lotta water, sunblock etc.
I am 61 yo but I would say this is very technical particularly towards the end you’re on all fours basically rock climbing for short periods of time till you get to the top. There is a marker up there go a few feet beyond the marker and there are about 3 to 4 rocks there which are even higher, this is the highest point and where myself and my two kids and significant others sat. We had a beer took pictures. It was cool should’ve brought a cigar! We did the whole trip parking lot to parking lot in about 2 1/2 hours of course that was me and again I am 61 years old and took several rest stops on the way up on the way down is much easier even in the more technical part towards the top, then it is going up.
Several suggestions I haven’t seen in previous reviews. Yes, you can use running shoes. I am an Orthopedic Surgeon and would not recommend it. If you have hiking shoes that would be better running shoes tend to come off your feet when your feet are accommodating different angles of the rocks. I would wear higher socks to your shins to protect your ankles from the rocks maybe light neoprene knee pads and gloves wouldn’t hurt either.
Use mother nature she has built several nice little steps and crevices, and there are several trees and some vines you can use to balance push pull yourself in up and around the rocks be aware of thorns and of course cacti which one of my party did grab and got several in his hand.
After you done go to Jaanchies restaurant further up the road about five or 6 miles in Westpunt for lunch, a must stop classic five generation, family owned restaurant with traditional food, including iguana. I reviewed separately.
