Neglected venue and big disappointment

点评：We haven’t fished here for around 15years and thought it would be nice to return after all this time and try our luck again, as this was once a lovely fishery.
The water baylif was very helpful and kind on arrival and explained everything very well. However after paying the fee and walking around the lakes we were shocked to find the state, neglect and conditions of all the swims the overhanging trees, bushes and the weed floating in all the lakes. It was very difficult to find anywhere to fish and cast a line.
It was not an enjoyable experience at all.
I have many many years of fly fishing but this is up there with the worst venues I have attended and fished.
I managed to get two fish from a four fish day ticket after many lost / snagged flys, hook ups in weed and serounding vegetation.
It was a very disappointing day, and one which should have been a memorable day but not for for these reasons.
We definitely won’t be returning.
