点评：What a perfect day to wander, explore, and soak up the natural beauty of Mesa Verde National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the 1200's Mesa Verde was home to approximately 40,000 Native Americans. They started building the cliff structures during this period. The skill and precision used to build these dwellings are remarkable. The park itself is 52,000 acres of natural beauty, numerous archeological sites, impressive scenic drives, overlooks, hiking, and of course the famous cliff dwellings. We chose to tour the Cliff Palace, and we were not disappointed. Be sure and book your tour ahead of time. It is very reasonably priced, and assures that you will be able to tour the dwellings. This tour is not suitable for any one with serious health problems or disabilities. There are a lot of steps and some parts are quite rigorous. That being said my husband and I loved every minute of touring the incredible dwellings, as well as exploring other areas of this spectacular National Park!
