Well worth the time to visit the Aquarium, Natural History Museum, and the Immersive Zoo
Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo的点评
点评:We took a #11 bus from the station in Hamilton to the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo. This trip was well worth our time and we enjoyed all three parts of the attraction. We were warmly greeted at the front desk, and the lay of the land was shared with us before we set off exploring the three components.
The Aquarium has many native fish on display, and there was excellent signage identifying details about each. It was great fun to see the enthusiasm of children as they went from window to window to check out the various species.
The National History Museum was outstanding, and we appreciated the details on the emergence of the island over time (from an excellent film), colonization and the people, flora and fauna of Bermuda, animal habits, culture, holidays, and a time line of significant events. For a small space, a great deal was packed in.
We had lunch at the cafe, and enjoyed our sandwiches overlooking the turquoise water before visiting the small, immersive zoo. Highlights for us included the flamingos (our grandaughters favourite and the national bird of Bermuda), the lemurs, and a pair of turtles from the Galápagos Islands - many of the animals are 'in the wild' although protective nets prevent them leaving the property. A very positive experience overall.
