点评：松戸徳川家の別邸と庭園、茶室、及び松戸徳川家にまつわる品々が展示されている博物館を擁している公園です。別邸や茶室、及び博物館の利用は有料ですが、この公園自体は一般に解放され、無料で利用することが出来ます。一方で常時開放されておらず、定休日もあることに注意が必要です。
別邸や茶室、博物館を利用せず、園内を周遊するだけであれば、30分程度で済みます。『日本の歴史公園100選』の一つに指定されており、芝生や樹木、園内の様々な設備はよく手入れがされていて、庭園の保存・維持されています。そのため、ボールなどの遊具を使った遊び、テントやパラソルの使用は禁止されています。ゆったりと散策するための公園と考えた方がいいでしょう。春には桜、秋には紅葉を楽しむことが出来ます。
高台にある公園であるため、園内から富士山を見ることが出来ますが、西側にはマンションなどの高い建物があり、やや風情に欠ける状況であることに注意が必要です。
