Outrageous Tourist Trap!
Barbados Wildlife Reserve的点评
点评：The only worthwhile attraction is the monkey feeding at 2:00 p.m. and the chance to watch the monkeys beforehand—if you know where to go.
We drove for an hour with our child and arrived at 1:45 p.m. At the ticket counter, we asked the staff member where the monkey feeding would take place. He repeatedly pointed to the area with the tables right in front of the ticket office and assured us that the feeding would happen there.
When nothing had happened by 2:05 p.m., we asked again. He simply told us to keep waiting. Another family with two children was also waiting there because they had been given the same information.
While we waited, the staff member saw us several times but spent the whole time playing on his phone. At 2:25 p.m., we asked once more. Only then did he tell us that the feeding had taken place further down the path and was already over.
Both families rushed there immediately, but we had already missed everything. There wasn't a single monkey left in sight, and the main reason for our visit was gone.
When I asked to speak to the manager, the staff member called someone and claimed on the phone that he had told us where the monkey feeding would take place. That is simply not what happened.
Apart from the monkey feeding, there is very little else to see. For us, this was nothing more than a tourist trap. After driving for an hour, our child was left disappointed, and there was no apology or accountability whatsoever. This is not how you treat your visitors.
