点评:The Alto Vista Chapel is a little difficult to review, as it is both a religious site and a tourist attraction. Unfortunately, the two are not always in conflict.
The Alto Vista Chapel is on the less populated northern side of Aruba. The road to the site emulates a Catholic church, with stations of the cross along the way. The chapel itself is pretty. Inside, the chapel would hold about 30 people. Outside, there are benches that would hold another 100 or so.
If you are a person of faith, this is a place of faith. One that ideally would be a site of prayer and contemplation. There is also an adjacent prayer garden. The site is one of great beauty.
The negative here is that this has become a tourist site. For much of our visit, there was a bus/van blaring dance music that did not fit the site at all. Many visitors were here to snap some selfies and move on to the next site.
The bottom line is that this is a wonderful site of faith -- one of the earliest churches in the Caribbean. It is a nice site to make a prayer, but beware its present purpose both as a tourist attraction.
