Don't bother visiting by public transport if you have mobility problems.
National Exhibition Centre的点评
点评:They only cater for car drivers. I can walk short distances so I don't see the need to hire a mobility scooter just to get from the station to the hall I was visiting on the other side of NEC and back again (plus I didn't have id with me to hire one anyway). As usual the travelator on the bridge link was not working (does it ever work?) I found out that the shuttle buses only serve car parks, not the rail station or bus station. Why? Aren't venues of this size supposed to be disability friendly? Providing an accessibility hire option does not mean they are. A friend recently had similar problems when she travelled there by coach for a major show but the shuttle buses didn't cover the coach park. It took her over 30 minutes to hobble as far as the accessibility office as it was not advertised that they could bring a scooter to her. They obviously only want everyone to go there by car.
