点评:Whilst the presence of a three year old child and a three month old child meant that we were unable to even begin exploring this beautiful area, it was worth the drive over just to breathe the sea air on this part of the Welsh coast.
Heathland and fields surround this rocky nature reserve which is made up almost entirely of sea cliffs, a Victorian folly and an impressive Lighthouse.
My wife was able to walk down the long, winding path/stairs to the Lighthouse whilst I remained up on top of the cliffs looking after the children.
You can see the Lighthouse from the cliffs (unsurprisingly) and you can also use those 20p operated binoculars (I think they were 29p operated...) to get a close view should you wish.
These can also be used for searching for the known rare bird species that are known to visit this reserve, namely the Black Larks, Fulmars and Grey Catbirds.
There is ample parking and a cafe on site too. Itvwas to the cafe that we headed next, and I rued not being able to have seen more of this lovely area, however maybe one day I will have chance to return with more freedom to explore the landscape.
