点评：I travelled the Complete Spiti Circuit with my family in the third week of September 2026, covering the route Chandigarh – Fagu – Sarahan – Kalpa – Tabo – Nako – Kaza – Chandratal – Manali – Chandigarh over 10 unforgettable days. Often described as one of the top travel circuits in India, Spiti offers a rare combination of raw beauty, ancient culture, and dramatic Himalayan terrain. As the famous saying goes, “In Spiti, you don’t just travel through mountains, you travel through time.” Our journey proved this true at every turn.
Even in September, the region is known as “Summer Spiti”, yet temperatures dipped to –6°C, reminding us of the valley’s harsh and unpredictable climate. Despite the cold and the often tough, uncomfortable stretches of road, my family thoroughly enjoyed the adventure — we love challenges, and Spiti rewards those who embrace them.
The landscapes throughout the circuit were nothing short of spectacular. From the apple‑laden slopes of Fagu and Sarahan, to the towering cliffs of Kalpa, the ancient monasteries of Tabo, the serene village of Nako, and the dramatic high‑altitude desert around Kaza, every destination felt distinct and deeply immersive. The terrain is rugged, untouched, and overwhelmingly beautiful — a place where nature still exists in its purest form.
We also tried a variety of local traditional foods, all of which were delicious, comforting, and deeply satisfying in the cold mountain weather. The warmth of local hospitality added to the charm of the journey.
A particularly memorable moment was witnessing the first snowfall of the 2026 winter season, a magical experience that made the already surreal landscapes feel even more extraordinary.
While certain stretches — especially the off‑road climb towards Chandratal — were physically demanding, the overall journey was enriching, humbling, and exhilarating. Spiti is not just a destination; it is an experience that tests you, surprises you, and stays with you long after you’ve left.
