点评:This is a beautiful house, maintained by the Daughters of Hawaii and full of artifacts, furniture and history of the Hawaiian royalty, particularly those biggies of the Kona/Hilo areas. The house, while not enormous, is beachfront and so open to the breezes and wonderful climate you just want to move in. While the indomitable Princess Ruth did live here, she also maintained and preferred, her grass house on the front lawn. The first missionary church in Hawaii is across the street (open only occasionally but check it out) and Kamehameha's last years were spent across the bay at the visible from here grass shack area (mostly a hotel complex now). For the serious tourist, it's also next door to the extensive shopping area and a block from a pretty good farmers market. Park once and it's an easy and pleasant walk to all of them.
