Nice Shops and Restaurants Along Historic Pearl Street

点评：We recently dropped by the shopping district on historic Pearl Street in Boulder, Colorado. Visitors can stroll along a brick-paved section of Pearl Street (stretch of street is closed to car traffic). Parking (pay fee on parking app) is available at cross streets and public garages.
The outdoor pedestrian mall on Pearl Street is lined with stores and restaurants, some of which are housed in historic brick buildings. Along the walk are play areas for children and benches for people watching. Locally owned businesses include Two Hands Paperie, a very nice art supply and stationery store and independent bookstores.
We were surprised to see many international luxury outerwear stores such as Norrona (Norway), Himali (Nepal), Montbell (Japan), Fjallraven (Sweden), Arc-teryx (Canada) and Hestra Concept Store (Sweden).
Lots of locally owned eateries (the only chain we noticed was Ben & Jerry) and restaurants line Pearl Street - ranging from ice cream parlors, gastropubs and delis to fine dining. We had lunch with friends at Zoe Ma Ma, a Michelin-recommended casual Asian restaurant.
Hopefully, the local charm of Pearl Street is not lost with the invasion of so many luxury retailers - we noticed at least three small shops (selling souvenirs and textile and other hand made crafts) were having going-out-of-business sales after the holidays.
