点评:The gardens are definitely worth a visit, especially for naturalistic garden enthusiasts. Plenty to see, to note down and to photograph: plants, borders, layouts, quirky details. The sheer scale of the site is stunning, as well as the use of "borrowed landscape" - magnificent Vosges hills complete the scenery wherever you look.
A few minor points of concern (esp. for elderly visitors) - the walk to the entrance from parking lot is very long (300 m), but if you want to make it to the alleged tea-room it's another 150m (and the tea-room appears to have its own opening hours you only found out about when you hit the closed door. So, another half a km back up hill, still no chance to sit and have a cuppa. And that not even having walked through the gardens yet, which are also situated on a hill side, so you have to hike a lot.
My point is: be prepared the visit to be physically demanding, have your coffee with you, and wear sensible shoes. The price could be more reasonable, considering.
But I still enjoyed the gardens, they are completely to my taste, and I made wonderful photographs there for my blog.
