点评:The first half mile is a steep hike as well as the last part to the lake. For the most part it is undulating but not too steep.
It narrows and at a number of points so it’s good to stay alert and make plenty of noise to avoid wildlife encounters. There’s also a section that’s in a shallow (at least when we were there) creek so wear waterproof shoes with good traction. Plus there are a couple places where you walk on crumbling rocks. Trekking poles were quite helpful to me to maneuver over those and just helped in general. The trail has incredibly beautiful views along the way including the waterfall! But the lake is an absolutely breathtaking gem! There were no icebergs in September but there glaciers above on the cliffs. Bring plenty of water and snacks for the journey but be aware the chipmunks are thieves and will attempt to steal unguarded food and try to sneak in your backpack! We didn’t see any bear which wasn’t a bad thing IMO on the narrow path! I highly recommend as a day well spent!
