Excellent job of expelling the perils the estimated 300,000 people took while attempting to cross the frontier US
National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center的点评
点评:Being a history nerd I knew I had to stop here on my motorcycle trip to Portland,Oregon. I wasn't disappointed. I know this might be my only chance to due to its remote location.
The exhibits do an excellent job of expelling the perils the estimated 300,000 people took while attempting to cross the frontier US via the Oregon Trail and others as well. Ten percent of the folks who attempted it died. I think the center also makes a good attempt telling the Native American perspective.
I hopped in late with a guided tour and the leader of the group encouraged people to visit the relatively close Tamástslikt Cultural Institute for a more in-depth Native American view. I hope to get there.
