点评:My friend took me here as he has been here time and time again. Cartersville is only about an hour from downtown Atlanta. These Indian mounds are not only impressive, but just when you thought you knew all about history, especially of the South, these prove you wrong. What a tremendously informative walk through the site and down to the river. There is a small welcome center with some information and a museum currently under remodel. Bathrooms and beverages available inside. Free parking. Small fee to get into the park. Make sure to have bug spray, good walking shoes, your camera, and plenty of water, especially on a scorching hot day. The day we were there, it was almost 100 degrees. Informational plaques around the site. Be prepared to walk on lots of grassy areas as well as steep staircases. The property is extremely well maintained. This is a "not-to-be-missed" site that will bring you back to when Native Americans made a life for themselves right here, on this very site. Moving and truly a wonderful experience. Lots of interesting grasshoppers leaping through the grass. Gorgeous site. I highly recommend!
