点评：This trail is CLOSED due to extensive flood damage. The grove can only be accessed by crossing the Ohanapecosh River on the Grove of the Patriarchs loop trail where the suspension bridge was washed out. Repairs are not scheduled to begin until summer of 2027 and are expected to take several years to complete.
However, this parking lot is an excellent place to access the Silver Falls Loop Trail which cannot be accessed from the trailhead at the Ohanapecosh Visitor Center (off Highway 123) because that area is also closed for repairs.
This paved parking lot can accommodate about 22 vehicles and has a restroom.
From here, you take the East Trail heading in the OPPOSITE direction from the Grove of the Patriarchs. After about 0.5 mile, it connects to the Silver Falls Loop Trail near the top of the falls. You can then continue about 0.15 mile to the small viewing area, and then another 0.1 mile or so down a short, somewhat steep rocky trail to the footbridge at the base of the falls.
From here, you can either turn around and head back out the way you came, or continue over the footbridge and walk about 0.2 mile up a wider path with a few switchbacks to join the loop trail on the opposite side near Highway 123. Turn left to walk about 0.4 mile up the narrow dirt path that climbs up to the wooded area north of the top of the falls and then loops back down to the trail junction with the 0.5 mile East Trail which will lead you back out to the Grove parking lot.
