Strasburg Rail Road的点评
点评：The train ride through the Amish countryside was fantastic! The scenery was beautiful and breathtaking at times.
The experience of checking in to get our tickets to boarding the train to the facilities to the end of the train ride was seamless.
When we arrived at the train station, the parking lot was right there. It wasn’t much walking at all to get to the train depot just right across the train tracks.
We bought our tickets online and we picked them up at the train depot. I suggest to arrive at least 20 minutes before the train departs so that you can pick up your tickets and you can use the restrooms that are at the end of the train station area. The restrooms are newly renovated.
We also stopped at the gift shop, which had a lot of Strasburg railroad items and just train items in general anywhere from mugs to T-shirts to jewelry to calendars to kids toys.
It’s easy to figure out which train car to board as the lamp posts that are on the small campus there are numbered so you know which train card to board.
We purchased tickets for the first class lounge, which was $44 per adult,which was climate control, air-conditioned, and had comfortable velvet, swivel chairs, which made the ride smooth and you can turn and talk to you everyone in your party, and you can also turn and look out the window. There are little tables attached to the side of the train inside that you can put your drinks on you can also order drinks and snack snacks. This particular train car has a bathroom although it’s extremely small like a little closet.
The train ride itself was 45 minutes so 20 minutes down the track and 20 minutes back. The engine going down the track to Paradise, Pennsylvania is a steam engine train and then once you’re down in Paradise, the train engine moves to the back of the car and takes you back to Strasburg. One might think the price of this car was expensive, but it really was a comfortable ride. Also, during the train ride, the announcer talks about various things that you were seeing outside of the train windows, so that was a great narration.
You can also purchase other tickets for the open air car which I believe was around $27 per adult and they have coach cars as well which is not climate control. You have to open the windows.
Totally worth going on the train when you are in this area. We come every year to Lancaster, PA and next year won’t be taking the train again…so much fun! Highly recommended!

整个旅程历时45分钟：20分钟前往目的地，20分钟原路返回。驶向宾夕法尼亚州帕拉迪斯的列车使用的是蒸汽机车；等到达帕拉迪斯后……火车的机车部分会移动到车厢后部，然后载着乘客返回斯特拉斯堡。或许有人会觉得这趟列车的票价偏贵，但实际上乘坐体验非常舒适。此外，在旅途中，广播员还会介绍火车窗外所能看到的各类景致，这种讲解相当精彩。
