Green River Ferry bad experience-- Park Tours fantastic!

点评：Great time at Historic Tour (450 steps) and Wandering Woods (gentle, easy with few steps)! Reserved 12 weeks ahead. Tickets sell out.
5 stars for NPS Cave Tours & Visitor Center, except for the Green River Ferry operator on 3/29/23 at 2:35 pm.
Ferry was coming from other side. Had no cars on it. We waited at stop sign for a few minutes and pulled ahead as ferry got close to shore. Apparently, you're not supposed to pull forward until the ferry opens its gate. No sign explaining this. Ferry operator got mad, pulled away, parked in the middle of the Green River for 10 minutes until multiple cars waiting on both sides of the river, and then yelled at us over the PA as we were finally allowed to board the fairy. We had no idea why he was camped out in the middle of the river when we were the only ones waiting for a ride. Maybe post a sign with expectations instead of expecting everyone to know ferry's preferred boarding policy and giving the cold shoulder to families who don't read minds and have no idea why the ferry pulled away from the shore and hung out in the middle of the river not communicating after landing on the shore to pick the vehicle up.
