点评:July is THE Month for Mt Rainier National Park's Wildflowers! Apparently we lucked out twice, because Mt. Rainier is often socked in with fog and you can't see the mountain. The wildflowers stole the show, however, plastering the mountainsides with reds, blues, pinks, whites, and purples. We also saw marmots, which were extremely adorable. A ranger offered some trivia: President Taft visited the Park in 1911, and Walt and Lillian Disney honeymooned here in 1925. We entered the park for free with our National Park pass. We knew to get there super early, because the parking fills up. We ate an overpriced breakfast in the park, which was not great, but we were a captive audience, so what can you do. We hiked for the better part of the morning and early afternoon, but one could certainly spend a couple of days hiking the many trails. I am very glad we went here.
