点评：The Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historical Park (NHP) consists of two separate units. The main Birthplace Unit is at 2995 Lincoln Farm Road, and the smaller Boyhood Home Unit at Knob Creek is located at 7120 Bardstown Road (both in Hodgenville, Kentucky, in the Eastern Time Zone).
We stopped by the Knob Creek location on a Monday in early April while driving from the Maker's Mark Distillery to the main Birthplace Unit. Because it was a Monday, the Knob Creek Tavern Visitor Center was closed. Note that the visitor center is closed every Monday and Tuesday, and shuts down completely for the winter from late November until mid-March. From spring to fall, its regular hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Even with the visitor center closed, the stop was still worth it. We spent about 10 minutes walking around the 228-acre farm and viewing the replica historic cabin, which is similar to the one Lincoln lived in from ages 2 to 7. It is a quick, easy, and educational roadside stop if you are already navigating between local distilleries and the main park unit!
