Large sandy beach, seaside activities and long Esplanade

点评：Thursday 26th June we visited this Beach and took a walk along the Esplanade.
The beach stretches along the Jurassic Coast in Dorset from the Pavilion at one end to Greenhill Beach at the other.
It is a crescent shaped beach which is predominantly sandy along with some pebbles which slopes down to the shallow waters of the English Channel.
At the time of our visit it was at low time so there was a vast expanse of sand exposed. There was lots of room to spread out the beach mats and towels.
There were a number of activities available on the beach including volleyball nets, kayak and pedalo hire
There were deck chairs which could be hired along the Esplanade.
At certain points there were slatted wooden walkways along the sand, providing ease of access to the beach
As we were here during the holiday season there were lifeguards on duty on the beach
This is a very popular beach and was voted number 1 in The Times and Sunday Times Best UK Beaches 2023.
There are more seaside activities available on the Esplanade, which runs the length of the beach, which includes a fun fair, amusement arcade and kiosks and shops selling seaside fare.
