点评:If you enjoy natural wonders, history and science, this is a neat place to visit. It is a good place to bring a picnic. Maybe a bottle of wine as well. The picnic station, in the entrance building has cups, plates, napkins and ice. We spent 3 hours there, relaxing and enjoying all the exhibits (the little museum, signage explaining the science/history of the geyser, along with the view of Mount St Helena and the nearby mountains).
I would definitely put this at the top of my list for places to show out of town visitors, but go there yourself first. It is a great bang for your buck.
You could describe this place as being "kitschy" - it seems as if they are refurbishing antiques (estate sale finds?). The atmosphere is more like an upscale campground.
The geyser erupts for ~5 minutes and it seemed to erupt every 30-45 minutes. The goats were cute. Apparently, they don't "faint" anymore as they are happy to be fed by visitors. You can purchase some feed bags for a few bucks.
It is a fun place to go if you like picnicking, relaxing in nature and visiting with friends and family as you are waiting for the geyser to erupt.
School-aged children who are fascinated by science & nature would enjoy it. There is a short little fence surrounding the geyser, but it does not block access, so I am not sure if it is a good place for toddlers.
