点评：Rather a let-down after building up your hopes. The paved road is extremely short and the parking almost non-existent. They want you to be a sheep and take the tour bus. No thanks! Not going to happen. What you see along the drive is mostly trees. We waited out the parking situation and enjoyed two hikes very much. Dall sheep were seen at Savage River, thanks to a very helpful park ranger. Lots of natural diversity along this moderate two mile hike. On the 2nd hike at Mountain Vista, we saw a magnificent male caribou by the river (see photos) These hikes saved the day for us as it was the typical day when you could not see the high peaks. The gift shop area was fun to visit and there was plenty of parking here (no surprise). We are glad to have checked this national park off our bucket list but it pales in comparison to Yellowstone or Glacier, or many of the mainland US parks. We imagine if you have serious $$$, you could stay at the one of the pricey lodges here and have a much better time. It shouldn't be that way but it is quite true here are Denali.
