点评：We were so excited to finally make it to this landmark and learn the story of Sarah Winchester and her legacy in this incredible home. However we paid $100 to be shuffled through a dusty house with a guide who spoke in a rapid, sing song cadence and rarely took a breath, or acknowledged the guests on the tour. The guide behind us sounded similar so sometimes they were competing for space and it made the tour feel crowded, rushed, and impersonal. Our group was large enough that we usually missed information by the time we all fit into a room. Save your money and check out a book about it at your local library. The pros were parking was included and the outside grounds were nicely landscaped. We were so relieved that we did not book the additional, hard hat required, self guided tour of the basement and the attic. The potential was there, but the approach was all wrong. I’d give it zero stars if I could- I felt like we were cheated out of our money. My husband says I’m being kind. It’s definitely time to revisit the business plan and company goals for creating a genuine impact with Sarah’s legacy in mind. Tourism 101- welcome your audience, know your audience, and make them want to share their positive experience and return again.
