Great walk in Old Town!!

点评：During the International Balloon Fiesta weekend in October, there is barely any parking available so make sure you arrive early if you plan to visit the Old Town area in Albuquerque. We returned back on a weekday morning and there is plenty of free two hour street parking available from 9a.m.- 6p.m. as well as the paid parking lots. It is probably best to come 10a.m. on as many of the shops and eating places are not quite that open that early.
It is great to walk through the assorted gift shops to appreciate the Southwest ambience and culture as well as the restaurants. During the International Balloon Fiesta week, the streets were decorated with many colorful hot air balloons and it is a very festive atmosphere. Many buildings are brown sandstone and feature a turquoise color door which is symbolic of the Southwest. Lots of great photo opps here.
