点评:Iconic sign representing the glamour and history of the movie making capital of the world. The Hollywood Sign can be seen from many vantage points all over Hollywood. However, a unique way to experience it is to make the 4.5 mile out and back hike along Innsdale Trail and Mt Lee Drive. The trailhead is at the end of a street in a residential neighborhood. Very limited parking but I was able to find a spot along the curb when arriving on a weekday in March at 930am. The hike begins as an unpaved trail and passes by the so-called "Last House on Mulholland" which provides the closest viewpoint of the sign for a great photo. Afterward, the trail becomes paved along Mt Lee Drive but becomes moderately steep, but it is only mildly strenuous. Views of the mountains and of LA and Hollywood below are terrific all along the route. The trail ends at the summit of Mt Lee where you are perched behind the sign. This is normally an extremely popular hike nut I was the only one at the summit for about 10 minutes which made it really special. As I hiked down, I passed many people including large tour groups headed up to the sign who got a later start. The lesson is to arrive early for both parking and to have few others on the trail.
