Great experience and food with one unfortunate hiccup

点评：The trip on the TSS Earnslaw was great and the communication through emails was great. We booked this for my partners 30th birthday day with her family there as a group of 6. They arranged to have a special table booked for us at the restaurant where the food was magnificent. Probably best buffet I’ve ever had. The sheep show was really cool too. Whole venue was great. Boat ride there was great but was all dark on the way back so dragged on a bit there getting back. The reason I gave 4 stars was due to an incident at the start of the trip where there was 2 special tables laid on the boat with my partners name on the tags with a reserved sign. I thought real nz had gone above and beyond to set this up for us so we sat down there. A female member of staff approached us and abruptly told us in front of everyone that the table was reserved to which I told her we had a reservation. She dismissed what I said and told us outright it wasn’t for us like she personally knew who the reservation was for. I explained the situation and the lady said she would look into it. My partner’s name isn’t that common so embarrassed and confused, we moved on to a different part of the boat. The member of staff approached us shortly after and explained a table had been prepared for us at the restaurant and apologised for the confusion but the initial handling of the situation had us looking silly when I was trying to make this day perfect for her 30th birthday.
