点评:Hakodate in winter has a way of slowing the world down, and nowhere did I feel that more than wandering through Goryokaku Fort and the restored Magistrate’s Building. The star‑shaped fort is already unique, but seeing it dusted in fresh snow feels like stepping into a quiet, white‑washed universe. The paths were soft underfoot, the moat calm and glassy, and the whole place carried this peaceful, almost suspended atmosphere that makes you instinctively lower your voice.
Right in the centre, the restored Magistrate’s Building glows like a lantern against the winter backdrop. Inside, the warm timber and careful craftsmanship are such a contrast to the cold air outside that you almost don’t want to leave. It’s beautifully done, faithful without feeling like a museum piece, and easy to imagine officials coming and going centuries ago.
Together, the fort and the Magistrate’s Building made for one of the most unexpectedly magical stops on my Hakodate www.dachshundtours.com.au trip, calm, elegant, and unforgettable in the snow.
