点评:We waited in line for a double tube for one of the slides. It took a while, but it was to be expected. We had to run on your bridge to get to the slide entrance. The sprinkler was not working and my child’s feet were burning. I nearly slipped on the steps because they did not have any traction. The man behind me also nearly tripped. This is a hazard that is easily fixed.
As a result of my child’s feet being burned, my child needed to sit for 2-3 minutes. He was crying and upset. We put our feet on the tube so that our feet would not further burn. I advised him that he needed to get up soon because people would be waiting for a tube. I am very courteous and aware of surroundings in this way.
A woman and her small child came up. The woman quickly tries to steal the tube from under my feet. I politely told her “no, this is our tube.”. She tried to aggressively steal the tube a second time and I told her this was not her tube. She then told me that the lifeguard told her to take the tube and was beeping at us. Any beeping I heard seemed to be directed to the swimmers, but it is possible I did not see or hear that directed towards me. I have a slight hearing impairment as an ex-diver. No lifeguards had come up to me.
This lady was adamant that this was now her tube. With her hand on i again, and mine, I took it away and firmly told her NO! She would not even let me wait another few moments for my child and her physical proximity was showing she was about to steal it again!!! I went, with my crying child towards the slide. When we had went down the slide, my child bounced and his head hit the slide. He remained on the tube, but was crying a bit as he was getting off. As I was exiting the pool, I saw the lady in the line making fun of us with the “crazy” hand motions towards her child. I told her that I saw what she did and I also told her I thought she in fact was the crazy one.
We were ready to go after this and I was feeling heated. This was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. This did not need to happen. I went to gather our belongs to leave. The lady had gotten a tube and we crossed paths again. She gave me rude looks, said horrible things, and then stalked me from behind as if she was ready to physically attack me. I walked away quickly to get my child out of the situation.
This could have all been avoided if the lifeguards had the proper training to not appoint managerial duties to unhinged mentally unstable customers.
I’ve seen the lifeguards let their friends jump the fence to get in, blatantly, in front of customers. I’ve also had lifeguards hit on me in front of my child, saying “damn girl” as I go down the slide. I’ve kept my mouth shut about this because I don’t like to complain about things. No more covering for the lifeguards behavior from me. This situation almost resulted in physical violence with a mentally unwell person.
I emailed the company but did not receive a response. Figures.
