点评:What a miserable, depressing excuse for a zoo.....! All these animals crammed into 5 acres is nothing but criminal. Highlights include-a mote full of green, slimy soup that capybaras & turtles were swimming in, a lot of the animals didn't have water or what they did have was disgusting, most had nothing even close to a 'natural habitat'-concrete, mostly bare cages/very small enclosures & some of the animals had very little shade in the Florida sun/heat. The only animals that didn't seem bored out of their skulls were the 'petting zoo' animals, who at least got some enrichment from getting food & attention from the kids. As a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator for many years, this place sickened me-as a rehabber, I am held to very high standards of care, enclosures, enrichment, diet & cleanliness for the animals I have in my temporary care. To see these animals in these deplorable conditions, knowing this is their life day in & day out for the rest of their lives, is disgusting. The state of Florida should be ashamed to allow places like this to exist & these animals should be sent to respectable zoos or sanctuaries. We only stopped because we had a couple hours to kill & even tho' we knew what it probably would be like, it was still shocking to see just how horrible it was.
