A Long-Awaited Return to See Sarah McLachlan (and Introduce My Wife!)

点评：This was my second concert in the span of eight days, following an Evanescence show at Jiffy Lube Live. This time, I was at the Filene Center to see Sarah McLachlan, with Allison Russell opening. Tickets went on sale to the general public at the end of February 2026. I bought two tickets in early May, and the best available seats were in Row JJ of the Rear Orchestra Right section. The total cost came to $288. Because the very back of that section is Row QQ, we were only a few rows ahead of the lawn.
From this vantage point, the performers looked small and were difficult to see clearly, so I found myself watching the large side screens for most of the night. Although we paid more than double the price of lawn tickets, it was worth it; we were completely sheltered from the rain, had actual chairs, and enjoyed a much better acoustic experience under the pavilion. However, the rather large, older man sitting beside me was disgruntled because I accidentally brushed against him in the tight seating. His poor attitude really put a damper on our evening, and I thought about reporting his behavior to the staff a few times. I also came close to leaving my seat to sit on the lawn because I was annoyed by his hostility, but I stayed so my wife could enjoy her pavilion seat. You would think people would have more class at a Sarah McLachlan concert.

Shockingly, my wife had never heard any of her songs before, which I still find hard to believe. On July 5, 2026, she got to hear "Possession," "Adia," "I Will Remember You," "Sweet Surrender," "Ice Cream," "Angel," and my personal favorite, "Fear," for the very first time.
