Nicely designed and laid out to easily navigate from one cave to another
Lava Beds National Monument的点评
点评:First off, if you are coming from the south,do not follow your GPS if it takes you to the south entrance of the park. You end up traveling through a free-range cow pasture, and a very rough road before getting to the actual park entrance and a good road. Instead, go further north via Hill Road and go in the north entrance which takes you to the Park on a nicely paved road. The park is nicely laid out. If you have been to another cave they want you to wear different clothes and shoes. That wasn’t possible, so they had us disinfect our shoes in this area outside the visitor center. They then ask you to not touch anything in the caves. This is an understandable request to protect the bats that may be living in the caves. The Mushpot is right next to the visitor center and is illuminated and has information as you walk through. A flashlight/headlamp is helpful but not necessary along this trail; however, it is very necessary at the other caves. Be sure to stop by the visitor to get suggestions on which caves to visit. I found out very quickly that I am not a caver.
