Harpers Ferry National Historical Park的点评
点评：The Harpers Ferry Historical National Park (NP) charges a $20 entrance fee per car that is good for three consecutivedays. You could present your NP seniors pass if you have it with you.
The Lower Trail Head is a “strenuous” hike down the hill from the parking lot across the road to Harpers Ferry town then across train tracks through a field of delightful Virginia Bluebells to Shenandoah River shore.
There is a shuttle bus that visitors could take to historical Harpers Ferry town where we found the Stone Steps to St. Peter’s Church that also leads to the Jefferson Rock, a steep climb but good cardio exercise and a portion of the 2,200-mile Appalachian trail.
The foot bridge across the Potomac River to the Maryland Trail Head is on the right of the road from the bus stop.
The Murphy Farm trail is an easy to moderate hike through a lush tranquil meadow or an unpaved road to a beautiful overlook of the Shenandoah River from a 600-meter cliff dotted with pink Spring flowering trees.
