点评:I came for the cars - I am a car nut, and with limited time, did not really explore much of the other collections (some interesting pianos, old cash registers the first 50 or so anyway, some space fillers (how may outborad motors can you see, or folding knives). For the autos - second floor is by far better simply because the collection is not roped off, even if not as 'valuable' as some on the first floor. Many are prosaic, but only in the sense of being 'ordinary' and often that's more interesting than the 200th Mustang you've seen. The main floor has some rod stuff and many straight or modified muscle cars - neither of which interests me but will others. There is a Duesenberg, a very nice Auburn Speedster, a cord 810, the 53 Eldorado, a Kaiser Darrin with a very (!) rare hardtop roof - yes, it was an option, and a few other high end notables. Unfortunately All of this stuff is roped off. and while not as bad as the back-ed show the grille only parking lot display one sometimes encounters, it's restrictive enough to be frustrating. For $22, I think we could agree that the visitors will have a real interest in the vehicles and know basic etiquette ! I am reminded of the late, great Mullin Museum where you could literally walk right up to priceless Bugatti's or the Nethercutt main salon proving that even very, very high end cars far beyond most of what's here do not need to be cordoned off. Certainly not a bunch of Tri-Five Chevys. Grr. Star deduction for that alone.
