It is a nice City run zoo that needs a lot of work

点评：I visited the zoo one afternoon when I was visiting Bridgeton to see the sites. As much as it’s a very family friendly zoo, the displays and the animals need a lot of TLC. The place is rough around the edges and needs some money to improve the condition of displays and the home of these animals.
The cages are far too small for the animals to roam around and I actually saw animals walking around in circles from boredom. The animals looked like they were well taken care of and the cages clean but they looked so out of it like they were not engaged in life.
The park and gardens themselves needed a lot of weeding and work on the landscaping. You could tell at one time this must have been a top notch zoo but I can tell what a lack of funding and no volunteers can do to a park. The City of Bridgeton needs to invest some money to bring this park back to its former glory.
When it does it going to be an interesting zoo!
