Shimizu Port的点评
点评：We arrived in Shimizu on a cruise ship with no set plans for the day. What we found delighted us. We started with a 40 minute sightseeing cruise of the bay - highlights included beautiful views of Mt Fuji rising above the clouds, and the experience of dolphins wave surfing in the bow of the boat, then watching them jump through the water as they parted from us. Next we chose to walk into the town, following the little highlights map handed out by the volunteer guides at the port. We were met at each stop by more volunteer guides, who explained each stop and its importance to the people of Shimizu. We explored the Myokeiji Buddhist temple, Jinocho's Birth House, and the Minowa Inari Shrine, before walking back along the Tomoe River water front looking at the artwork on the riverside walls. As we walked through the town we met a number of welcoming and gracious local people. For a day that started with no set plans it ended up my favourite port of the 12 day cruise.
