Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum的点评
点评：Fabulous. A world class museum with many fabulous fossils and exhibits. The animations were really good. I’m not particularly into fossils but went on a whim, and was seriously impressed.
It’s easy to get to from Fukui train station. You just go next door to the private train station, buy a ¥1700 all day travel pass, and then an hour later you are at the museum. They leave every 30 minutes and the bus and train times are coordinated. There are loads of pointers from Fukui station as it is their main tourist draw in the entire area, so you don’t have to worry about how you’re gonna get to the museum and back - you are in a well-oiled machine once you arrive at the station. You can’t go wrong.
It costs just over ¥1000 to get in. There are big lockers at the museum where you can leave a rucksack, which is what I did, and a massive restaurant which you should try as well as a big shop selling overpriced souvenirs.
You need a full 2 hours minimum at the museum, plus travel time. It got very busy from about 11 am onwards, so it might be worth making an effort to get there at the start when it opens.
