One of the best experiences of life - truly unforgettable
Ha Giang Adventure的点评
点评：Quite simply, one of the best experiences of my life. The scenery along the Ha Giang Loop is absolutely breathtaking — I’ve travelled a fair amount, but I’ve genuinely never seen landscapes quite like these. It’s an experience I’ll never forget.
One of the things that really set Ha Giang Adventures apart was how thoughtfully everything was planned. Our guides consistently chose spectacular viewpoints away from the crowds, often avoiding the busier stops where other tour groups were gathering. We had some of the most incredible scenery almost entirely to ourselves, which made the experience even more special.
A perfect example was our visit to a beautiful waterfall for a swim on the final morning. We set off at around 6:50am and arrived to find we were the only people there. By the time we left, just 30–45 minutes later, lots of other people were beginning to arrive. It’s little details like this that show how much thought and local knowledge go into the itinerary.
Another real highlight was learning so much about the history, culture and people of Ha Giang. A special mention has to go to my wonderful driver and guide, Diên, who made me feel completely safe and comfortable throughout. He was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about the region, which added enormously to the experience. I also really appreciated that the company invests in English lessons for its drivers. Being able to have proper conversations, ask questions and really get to know your guide makes such a difference.
The homestays were all in idyllic locations, with spectacular views. I would say, however, that the first two were extremely rustic, so it’s worth being prepared for that! That said, the remote settings are what sets them apart and what makes the experience feel so authentic. One tip: if you’ve seen a particular homestay in the photos that you’re especially keen to stay in, I’d recommend mentioning this when booking and checking whether it can be reserved in advance, as accommodation can vary depending on availability.
The food seemed to get better with each evening, and I’d really recommend communicating any food preferences in advance, even if they’re not strictly dietary requirements. The team are very accommodating and happy to cater to individual tastes.
One other tip, particularly for solo travellers, is to check the group size shortly before departure if the social aspect is important to you. My group ended up being just three travellers, whereas the following day’s departure had eight people, split into two groups of four. Numbers can clearly vary quite a lot, so it’s worth asking in advance if you have a preference.
One final tip on choosing the itinerary: I did the four-day Eastern Loop, but if you choose the three-day option and are already in Ha Giang to start first thing in the morning, you can cover everything I did on the four-day tour. If you arrive later (and transfer from say Hanoi in the morning) and start the three-day tour in the afternoon, the only thing you’ll miss is the furthest northern point. So it’s definitely worth thinking about your transfer timing when deciding between the three- and four-day options.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ha Giang Adventures. The breathtaking scenery, the incredible local knowledge of the guides and the care taken over the entire experience made this a truly unforgettable adventure. I’m so grateful to have experienced it.
