点评:Visited this history rich castle. Even though it’s kind of a shell now, one could just wonder how rich he was to have such a big piece of land and built a castle!
The castle had many information plaques all around, introducing the rooms eg: guest room, linen room etc.
There is a wine cellar at the basement which apparently has a secret tunnel (has already been sealed for safety reasons). It is quite dark and we didn’t went down.
It was also said that there are a total of 4 secret tunnels that can lead people out of the castle but one of it was never discovered.
There are bats and flies around the castle too. I applied some medicated oil on my arms and the flies were kept away. It is also very hot so need to bring a portable fan / cap / umbrella.
It is otherwise an interesting place and we enjoyed the “adventure”
We booked the tickets online and it came with a free tram ride but we are unable to find any trams. Was told they were charging it. So it was a little disappointing.
There is a cafe at the entrance and a very tiny souvenir shop.
I feel there is still a lot of potential in expanding this place.
