Started well but left a bad taste

点评：We went on a Vineyard tour and tasting on 23rd August. We had a great tour with our fabulous host Tim, who showed us around the different vines and talked to us about the wine making process before heading back inside the barn for our tasting.
We had some great wines and wanted to buy a couple of cases costing over £400. This is where the disappointment came. We had paid for the tour with a gift voucher and wanted to use the remainder towards our cellar door purchase (we were told we could do this when we booked). The staff however refused to accept their own voucher saying it could only be used online, which is contrary to what we’ve previously been told. Despite reasoning with them, the staff still refused to accept the voucher so we walked away and didn’t buy anything. I don’t understand why a venue sells a voucher that cant be used at the property, and it also lacks the financial acumen to realise that not accepting the small voucher cost (£50) would mean they miss out on over £400 of sales.
