Frustrated with inflexible attitude
The Mill at Sonning Theatre的点评
点评：Bit of an awkward one here. I wish to be objective, but feeling very frustrated.
Never been to his theatre before, though my family are avid theatre goers- west end, Windsor, Richmond, beck, watermill etc. so buying for the Mill for the first time.
Anyway, booked friday for 3 of us to visit Saturday. Unfortunately my wife and daughter got really ill overnight- food poisoning? Called Saturday to ask if they’d tickets could be transferred to a different date (Wednesday?). Was categorically told no.
Honestly, I could completely understand if it was a sell-out show, but there were loads of tickets available, including in the bottom-end price bracket as mine were. So it’s not as if there weren’t tickets available to sell.
Would it really have been too much to ask to change to another night? Really?
Tried my best to offload the tickets to family or friends- no takers. Couldn’t even give them away.
Anyway, I attended on my own. Lovely theatre. Beautiful grounds. Enjoyed the show (Shear Madness). But at the end of the day, it’s not much fun going to the theatre on your own.
Left a bit of a sour taste- will I return? Well, I’d like to be able to come back with my wife and daughter at some point….but at the moment still feeling a bit frustrated, so maybe not.
PS… £13 for a glass of Sauvignon blanc. Thats just crazy. It’s no wonder so few people go out to pubs these days.
